La Galerie Vazieux se réjouit de faire son retour à @asianow avec une présentation d’œuvres récentes de Moonassi, marquant la deuxième collaboration de l’artiste en France avec la galerie.

Né en 1980 en Corée du Sud, Moonassi sonde la complexité des relations humaines dans une oeuvre marquée par sa singularité esthétique et son onirisme. De sa palette réduite à la couleur noire, il déploie de grands aplats d’encre et d’acrylique desquels surgissent des
personnages évoluant dans des paysages énigmatiques et silencieux. Les mises en scène, qui semblent parfois toucher à l’irréel, invitent à l’introspection et à l’exploration de nos paysages intérieurs.

EM 갤러리가 ‘Tokyo Gendai 2025’에서 무나씨, 조화란의 2인 전 《Equilibrium》을 선보입니다.

‘내면의 평형’을 뜻하는 Equilibrium. 이는 정지된 상태가 아닌, 끊임없이 조율하는 가운데 유지되는 상태입니다. 들이마시고 내쉬는 호흡처럼, 마음과 관계도 확장과 수축하며 자기와 타인의 시선 사이에서 균형점을 찾아갑니다.

EM Gallery presents Equilibrium, a duo exhibition by Moonassi and Cho Hwaran, at Tokyo Gendai 2025.

Equilibrium refers to an “inner balance” not a static condition, but one sustained through constant adjustment. Like the rhythm of inhaling and exhaling, the mind and relationships expand and contract, seeking a point of balance between the gaze of the self and that of others.

고요한 표면 아래, 조용히 흐르는 것. 은류.
우리의 마음은 때때로 호수처럼 잔잔해 보이지만, 그 속에는 크고 잔 물결이 일고 있습니다. 무나씨는 보이지 않는 마음의 여운과 말로 정의되지 않는 관계의 깊이를 들여다봅니다.
작품 속 인물들은 서로를 포개고, 맞대고, 기대며 부단히 탐색합니다. 무표정한 얼굴, 닫힌 눈과 입은 차분하지만 멈춰 있지는 않습니다.
말소리는 없지만, 끊임없는 몸짓이 맞닿는 무언의 소란.
무나씨는 이를 특유의 절제된 조형 언어로 포착하며, 관계의 본질을 섬세하게 담아냅니다.

EM Gallery is pleased to participate in EXPO CHICAGO 2025 from April 24 to 27, 2025.
The gallery presents Undercurrent / 은류, a solo exhibition by Moonassi featuring 16 new works.

Beneath the still surface flows a quiet undercurrent.
Moonassi explores the invisible resonance of the mind and the depth of human connection that often escapes verbal definition. His figures gently lean into, rest against, or quietly observe one another—capturing the subtle tension and intimacy of shared presence. Though expressionless, their bodies remain in motion, engaging in a silent exchange.

Through his restrained visual language, Moonassi delicately reflects the essence of relationship and the emotional undercurrents that shape it.

EM 갤러리는 무나씨 작가님과 함께 <아완 我玩 / Mind collector>으로 2023년 아트부산에 참여합니다.
이번 전시명 ‘아완’은 나의 마음을 고요히 비추어 본다는 뜻으로 작가는 그의 삶 속, 다양한 감정과 현상을 세심히 관찰하며 다변하는 마음의 모습을 작품 속에 표현하였습니다. 타인과의 관계 또는 자연물 등을 통해 마음을 묘사하여 존재하는 모든 것에서 관계성을 발견할 수 있음을, 무한한 마음의 모습들을 관람객들께 전하고자 합니다.

The EM gallery is pleased to announce our participation of the ART BUSAN 2023 with our exclusive artist MOONASSI. The artist is known for his wondrous technique of line which can well-describe his meticulous observation skills.
The title of the show will be <아완 我玩 / Mind collector>, the artist expressed the diversification of ‘mind’ by carefully observing various emotions and phenomena in his life.
By depicting the mind through natural object or relationships with others, he wants to convey that we can find relationality from everything that exists, and that the appearance of the mind is infinite.
